Biography
I’m Paul, Program Coordinator for MAPH. I received my MA in English/Literary Studies at the University of Illinois Chicago in 2022, where I wrote on the nature of environmental discourse in contemporary science fiction media. Before my graduate program, I spent three years as a high school English and art teacher, where I cemented my love of working in education and helping students of all kinds to achieve their goals. My lifelong passion for the arts and humanities has also included extensive engagement with visual art and music, and in my time outside MAPH, I enjoy developing work as a film photographer and electronic musician. I’m always ready to talk speculative media, trade music recommendations, and do my best to make sure the office coffee is at least tolerable.
