I’m Kendra, one of the MAPH mentors for the 2025-2026 academic year. During my time at MAPH, I took mainly English courses with a focus on mid-century experimental literature. My thesis examined Susan Taubes’s novella Lament for Julia as a feminist take on the literary experiment of the non-subject. Before MAPH I went to Bryn Mawr College, where I majored in English and Russian. Though my recent work focuses on English-language texts, I still try to keep up my skills in Russian and to explore other languages when given the chance. I moved from New England to Hyde Park for MAPH this past year, so feel free to ask me any questions about the moving process and life in the neighborhood. Come chat with me about language learning, Dungeons and Dragons, and science fiction!
