Biography

I’m Jenna, one of the MAPH mentors this year. I received my BA from Roanoke College, where I majored in Literary Studies. This past year, I received my MA from MAPH with a thesis that argued for the epistemological optimism in the occulture of Arthur Machen’s 1894 novella, “The Great God Pan.” I primarily study 19th-century British Literature, but I am also intensely interested in sci-fi/fantasy [spooky], folklore, and America’s “golden age” of cinema. Come chat with me about your MAPH year and your extracurricular interests! I am always down to talk about Dungeons & Dragons, libraries, and tv comedies— I’m pumped about Season 5 of “What We Do in the Shadows.”
