I'm Noa, one of the MAPH mentors for the upcoming year. I received my B.A. in English from Barnard College and completed MAPH in 2022. During my time at UChicago, I became especially interested in the literature of the (very!) long eighteenth-century. My thesis considered the children's writing of Anna Letitia Barbauld and the writing about children (and mothers) of D.W. Winnicott in order to explore points of overlap in literary Romanticism, religious Dissent and psychoanalytic theory. I'm on the poetry staff of Chicago Review. I'm from LA, lived in New York for 8 years, and really love living in Hyde Park. I like to cook, to dream about moving to Italy, to hang by the lake, and to browse for books at our two great local bookstores, Sem Co-op and Powell's.
