I completed MAPH in 2022 with a Gender and Sexuality Studies option. I focused my courses around themes of pop culture, horror, and reproduction and my thesis discussed monstrous pregnancy and queer kinship in The Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn. Before joining MAPH, I received my BA in English and Global Studies from Michigan State University and worked as an assistant primary school teacher during the 2020-2021 school year. In my free time, I love to discover new coffee shops, bookstores, bars, restaurants, and open mics around the city. I am also looking to get more involved in Chicago’s DIY scene! As a proud Midwesterner, I also love talking about the weather, eating cherries (when they’re in season), and soaking up the beauty of Lake Michigan.
